So it finally happened: after the first aborted attempt on December 18, 2025, today was the day! For the first time ever, a person with a spinal cord injury flew into space. A global—no, intergalactic—first!
Michaela Benthaus – a strong woman, a scientist, a paraplegic, a role model – was part of Blue Origin's six-person ‘NS-37’ mission as an astronaut!
This moment perfectly proves an essential message:
- A disability does not necessarily have to set limits!
- Even as a paraplegic, you can realize your dreams, overcome limitations, and achieve the seemingly impossible!
