MiP SCI Community

In our MiP WhatsApp Community, we aim to facilitate quick—and sometimes casual—information exchange. To this end, there is a WhatsApp group available within the community for each language (DE, FR, IT, EN). Additionally, we maintain groups dedicated to specific topics, such as the current discussions surrounding the ‘Wings for Life World Run (WFLWR)'.

Group Description

Welcome to the WhatsApp Group “MiP SCI Community”

This group aims to foster respectful, helpful and open discussions about spinal cord injury, including news, innovation, rehabilitation, lived experiences, mutual support, events, and useful resources.

This public group is dedicated to all people affected by spinal cord injury: Spinal cord injured people, relatives, friends and professionals.

The group is administered and moderated by the nonprofit organization ‘More is Possible (MiP)’, which ensures that discussions remain respectful and relevant.

Rules for the WhatsApp Group ‘MiP SCI Community’

Group Purpose

This group is meant to encourage respectful, helpful and open discussions about spinal cord injury: news, innovation, rehabilitation, lived experiences, mutual support, events, and useful resources.

Group Administration

This WhatsApp group is administered and moderated by the nonprofit organization ‘More is Possible (MiP)’.

Group Rules

  1. Respect and kindness first
    1. No discrimination, insults, or personal attacks of any kind.
    2. Discussions and debates are welcome, but always in a respectful and constructive tone.
  2. Stay on topic
    1. Posts must be related to spinal cord injury or closely connected topics (health, accessibility, technology, adaptive sports, inclusion, etc.).
    2. Off-topic messages, chain messages, or political/religious content will be removed.
  3. No unauthorized promotion
    1. Commercial promotions, fundraising campaigns, or service offers are only allowed with admin approval.
    2. Members are encouraged to share useful resources (articles, innovations, events) if they benefit the community.
  4. Privacy and confidentiality
    1. Do not share personal information about other members without their consent.
    2. Personal stories are welcome but must respect everyone’s privacy and dignity.
  5. No medical advice
    1. Health-related discussions are welcome, but this group does not replace professional medical consultation.
    2. Members may share experiences but should not prescribe or diagnose.
  6. Language and tone
    1. The main language is German, French, Italian though English is also accepted when needed.
    2. Please use a polite, clear, and positive tone at all time.
  7. Admin role
    1. Admins ensure compliance with these rules, may delete inappropriate content, and can remove members in case of repeated violations.
    2. They may also remind members of the rules when necessary.
  8. Group confidentiality
    1. This group is public, but discussions are intended to remain within it. Please do not share screenshots or private messages without permission.
  9. Know-how transfer
    1. We intend to publish relevant topics from the WhatsApp channels on our  MiP website after editing them accordingly.
    2. Group members are also welcome to take the initiative and prepare these content articles.

By joining this group, each member agrees to follow these rules. If YOU cannot agree to them, you are asked to leave the group.
